22 Under 22 – Privacy Notice – What we do with your information

Podiem Limited has been appointed by Belfast City Council to act on its behalf as data processor to deliver the 22 Under 22 Competition 2024.

Belfast City Council is the data controller under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) for the personal data it gathered for the purposes of entering 22 Under 22 Competition. By completing and submitting this form, your personal data will be processed by Podiem Limited, in the manner documented on this privacy notice, under the lawful basis of consent and any special category data you provide will be processed under the lawful basis of explicit consent.

You can withdraw your consent to processing the information relating to your entry at any time by contacting 028 9032 0202 or via email economicdevelopment@belfastcity.gov.uk.

You may be contacted and asked to participate in promotional activities such as photographs, filming or sharing your experience in the form of testimonies. Your personal data will not be processed for promotional purposes unless you provide your consent, which will be requested separately.

Sharing your information with others

Your personal data, including any video or images that may form part of your entry, will be shared between staff who are involved in the administration and management of this competition including Podiem staff involved in the judging panel and Council staff with the purpose of supporting an effective delivery of the service, including promotional activities.  

The winner will be asked for further personal data by Podiem or the Council for the purpose of electronic payment of prize monies.  This personal data may be shared internally within the Council for audit purposes.

Your personal data will not be shared or disclosed to any other organisation without your consent or unless the law places an obligation on the Councils to do so.

How long we hold your information for

Personal data is held and stored by the Councils in a safe and secure manner and in accordance with their Records Retention and Disposal Schedule.
