Raise Your Game

Raise Your Game is an initiative jointly created by Podiem and The Ulster Sports Academy.
The Raise Your Game Series of Conferences will offer local managers and leaders the opportunity to engage with and learn from some of the most successful figures from the world of sport. Many of the skills and success factors in sport are transferable to business and management and Raise Your Game events will allow local organisations and managers to take ideas, actions and inspiration from the world of sport.
August 2010:The All Blacks bring High Performance to Raise Your Game

Feared by some, admired by many and respected by all, The New Zealand All Blacks have become synonymous with producing generation after generation of world class sportsmen. From Sir Colin Meads and Jonah Lomu right through to Daniel Carter, the All Blacks brand signifies sporting excellence around the world.
At the heart of this continuing phenomenon is Mr. Paul MacKinnon, High Performance Player Development Manager of the All Blacks. Fresh from his involvement with the undefeated triple world championship winning All Blacks' U-20 side, Podiem, in association with the Ulster Sports Academy and the Ulster Business School, is proud to present a unique series of audiences with Mr. MacKinnon in the coming weeks.
Featuring an address by and question and answer session with Mr. MacKinnon in addition to contributions from local rugby and business figures these events are not to be missed by those in the rugby fraternity and any business person keen to learn how to mould raw talent into a team that delivers successful end product at the highest levels.
Mr. MacKinnon will be appearing at a number of venues around Ulster including:
Portadown Rugby Club - Thursday 5th August 2010 at 6.15pm with Gary Longwell, High Performance Manager, Ulster Rugby
Ulster Rugby, Ravenhill Grounds - Tuesday 10th August 2010 at 6.15pm with Alastair Brown, Coach Development Officer, Ulster Rugby
University of Ulster (Coleraine) Rugby Club - Thursday 12th August 2010 at 6.15pm with Darryl Callaghan, Talent ID Officer, Ulster Rugby
There is a nominal charge of £10 per person (including light refreshments), which should be paid by cash or cheque on the night. Pre-registration is essential, email info@podiem.com detailing name, organisation and which event you will attend.

Raise Your Game: Craigavon June 2010
Portadown Rugby Club played host to the second of the Raise Your Game Conferences in June 2010. Providing a more intimate setting in which attendees were able to get up close and personal with both business and sporting greats, Raise Your Game Craigavon was a runaway success and allowed the audience to listen to and learn from individuals including:

Raise Your Game: UUJ 26th May 2010
The inaugural Raise Your Game Conference took place in the High Performance Centre at the University of Ulster in May 2010.
