Entrepreneurs Who Defy the Odds:

This ½ day programme is designed to unearth the inner entrepreneur and will cover:
• Confidence-building
• Instilling Resilience
• Goal setting & Achieving
• Dealing with Fear & self-doubt
• Guest Speaker: Defying Odds
• Next Entrepreneurial Steps

The session will be led by Ciaran May who is a speaker, performance coach to some of NI’s most successful athletes and Founder of Natural Resilience. Having previously represented NI as a powerlifter, Ciaran now consults to some of Ireland’s most successful companies. Drawing upon a range of stories, insights and techniques, Ciaran will equip attendees with the tools they need for their future business and self-employment journeys.

The Open University will be sharing useful information and online resources, including short-course material from the free learning platform OpenLearn, to support budding entrepreneurs who are ready to take the next step on their entrepreneurial journey.

Eligibility:

• All Belfast residents
• Individuals with a business idea or aptitude to start a business.

2.45pm – 4.30pm – Opt-in Surf Simulator

*Attendees will be able to put their ‘Boundary Breaking’ learning into action by taking on the Surf Simulator and Drop Slide at Andersonstown Leisure Centre. Places at each session are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
